Better day but still quite tired...especially since I was in meetings all day - yawn! Ended up telling the kindergarten team. Gretchen directly asked at lunch because I ordered a water so I did admit it - although I wanted to tell them when all the team members were there. However, it was made up when I did tell Angela in front of the team. I loved her reaction!!

Went to Chip's dad's wake and then dinner with Mom, John, Brian, and Barb. We saw Wendy, Carl, and the kids too. When Wendy said she met the newest member of the family, I think I had the most guiltiest look on my face because I thought she was somehow talking about me. But she was really talking about Missy, Mom's puppy!!! Can't wait to tell the rest of the family too!

Didn't feel all that great today - tired and sickly. Went to Dr. Matt (the chiropractor) for the first time since finding out I was pregnant. Dinner was initially tough to get through and I was just pooped by the time I got home. I was almost too tired to fall asleep.

Restless night last night - very warm...not sure if it was just me or it was actually a warm night. Awoke a few times but slept in until 8am! Went for a hike with Dad and Macie Jane and then went for another walk around Rock Oak with Dad. Felt woozy afterwards and couldn't wait to get home and rest.

Worked outside for a bit and needed to come in and rest again. Just very warm and tired today with a few bouts wooziness thrown in. Mom and Dad Rassman came over for dinner. Mom R. had a huge smile...I know she's excited!

Oh no...I think I'm getting a cold sore on my lower lip. I hope pregnancy doesn't bring these - yuck!

Week 6

Today I woke up exhausted. So exhausted that Todd dropped me off at mom's house instead of school. After breakfast, mom then brought me to school. After both breakfast and lunch I felt a bit nauseous. Upon getting home, I was exhausted. I ended up taking a nap and having to force myself out of bed again. Although right now I hardly feel pregnant, chest seems smaller, and tummy is fine.

Today is what I have been waiting for since I have gotten my period as late as 6 weeks before. Still keeping those fingers crossed...for April and me!!

Baby's Development (from Pregnancy.org)

  • The arms and legs continue to develop - These limbs are stretching out more and more. Later on you will be feeling those feet and elbows up close and personal right in your bladder!
  • Brain is growing well - Did you know that over the course of the remaining months that your baby's brain will develop over 100 billion neurons? This is just the beginning!
  • Lenses of the eyes appear - If you could catch a glimpse inside, you would notice your baby's appearance becoming increasing like a newborn's.
  • Nostrils are formed - The position of the nose seems to shift into its proper place as well. Soon, the nerves running from the nose to the brain appear.
  • Intestines grow - Initially these are actually located outside the baby's body within the umbilical cord.
  • Pancreas - Your baby is now equipped to deal with digestive enzymes and take on processing the insulin and glucagons the body needs to function.

Wooo...yesterday must have wiped me out...or was it only sleeping from 1:45-7:45am? After we came back from breakfast at Mardee's and a long walk, I was exhausted! I slept again from 1ish to 3:30pm! I felt very guilty since it was so nice outside. If it wasn't for Maggie about to vomit and me jumping up to make sure she was on the tile, I may have never moved from the couch. However, once I awoke I did not feel all that well. Could it be the start of fatigue and morning sickness? If so, the books are right on as 6 weeks starts tomorrow!

Awww...today was my first get together where I had to not have a drink. We went to Joe and Christine's house in Lewiston for the Jazz Festival. I will admit that even though I was dog tired by the time we left at 1:15am, I was SO glad to know I would wak up feeling just fine. I didn't just stick with water though - I had a Virgin Bloody Mary which was SO yummy. Felt time most of the day...just got tired in the end!

Oh boy, got up 3 times during the night to go to the bathroom;. The final time my chest almost throbbed. I've been trying to drink a lot of water so I don't know if it's the hormones making me go or all the water.

I had a little trouble falling asleep so I've been reading before and that seems to be helping. But I was bright-eyed at 5:45am. Felt a little sick upon waking, but it didn't last long. I also felt sick here and there in the morning, but thought it had to do with being thirsty and hungry. I've also felt a bit more tired than usual. I wanted to fall asleep in the dentist chair. I did end up taking a nap during Oprah, but is that because of hormones or because I was up 3 times and then up at 5:45am?

Still wondering if this is for real?
